There are different ways in making a dream catcher you can make it big or small depending on your preference. In this tutorial we will be doing a bag charm or key chain. Enjoy!

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

You will need the following:

Wire for the base of your dream catcher. Any size wire is alright, as long as you can manage to bend it to a circular form.

Tissue tube or plastic cups for mold. I use a tissue tube because it is more convenient and already available.

Wire cutter and a pair of scissors.

Paper tape for the edge of your dream catcher base, and also to seal the circle.

Strings, ribbons, left over strips of clothes and other cloth-like materials that you may use to wrap around your dream catcher base.

Lastly, beads of different sizes or feathers for added decoration.

Step 2. Making the dream catcher charm.

a. Make the base loop, by cutting a wire with your wire cutter or pliers. How big the loop depends on how big you want your charm to be. I follow the shape of the tissue tube to get my desired length for the charm.

b. Cut and remove the wire from the tube. Now you have your base loop.

c. To close the loop, put a piece of masking tape on it.

 d. Now cover the entire metal loop with your chosen string.

 e. Tie the end of the string into a knot to secure the string on the loop. Now we proceed into making the spider web inside the loop.
f. First get a different colored string and tie it on the ring.

 g. Cut the excess string then proceed looping on the ring like so:

 h. Loop around the ring until you reach the first loop.

i. Loop the string in to the next string like looping on the ring itself. Continue until you reach the center.

J. Now your dream catcher is complete. You can add beads on it while you loop your string around the circle.

 k. Add decorative beads or feathers to make it more festive. Do it to your liking.

 Enjoy! -dian
